Grade 10
- 10-1 Responding to Globalization – In this formative assessment task, students work in small groups to analyse quotes. They then identify the challenge to globalization with which the quote is most closely associated and justify their choice.

- 20-1/ 20-2 Propaganda Poster Project – Students study World War I and II propaganda posters and create their own poster for the French Revolution/Napoleonic period.
Grade 12
- 30-1 Ideology and Identity – Students examine the philosophies of Hobbes, Locke and Rousseau in terms of collectivism and individualism before determining their own beliefs and values.

- 30-1 Fighting for Liberalism – RI2 and RI4 – This inquiry project takes students on an analysis of historical and current issues to determine the viability of liberalism and the extent to which individuals were justified in the cause.

- 10-1 Legacies of Historical Globalization – Students analyse a historical, imperialistic situation from varying perspectives to determine the extent to which the actions of the imperialistic power were justified
- 10-2 Legacies of Historical Globalization – Students analyse an historical, imperialistic situation from Canada and one other nation from varying perspectives to determine the extent to which the actions of the imperialistic power were justified

- 20-1 Ultranationalism – In this inquiry activity, students analyse a historical situation from varying perspectives to determine the extent to which the ultranationalistic actions of the government/leaders were justified.
- 20-2 Ultranationalism – In this inquiry activity, students analyse a historical situation from varying perspectives to determine the extent to which the ultranationalistic actions of the government/leaders were justified.
- 20-1 The Case of Conscription – Students investigate the perspective of English-, French-, or European-Canadians in 1939 to debate, from that perspective, whether conscription is a nationalistic or an ultranationalistic policy.

Grade 10
- RI 3, RI 4 Perspective on Economic Globalism – Students create a digital story from a specific viewpoint on globalization’s ability to contribute sustainable prosperity for all people
Grade 11
- Identifying Nationalism – Exploring historical significance, students use a web-based timeline in analyzing nationalism.
- 20-1/-2 Genocide in the Twentieth Century – Working with a partner students research genocides from a provided list of choices and create a digital scrapbook from a perspective.
- Digital Current Events – On a bi-weekly basis, students analyse the impacts of various current events that transpire provincially, nationally, and/or internationally.
- 20-1/-2 Reducing Poverty – Using specific criteria, students rank case studies, making recommendations to the G8 by creating a commercial.
- 20-1/-2 Current Events and Nationalism – Throughout the semester, students create a digital timeline, accompanied by write-ups using X-Timeline, Ten by Ten, and Citation Machine.
- Canadian Confederation: Investigating Perspectives – Student create and present a Voice Thread providing opinions on confederation while others respond to posed questions.
