About this Resource
Oral language is a significant factor in beginning literacy and one of the Organizing Ideas in the new curriculum. This resource is intended to support teaching and assessing oral language skills. Each slide deck includes curriculum connections, explicit teaching suggestions, a guide to success, and a continuum of learning for students from kindergarten to grade 6. Illustrative videos and more activities will be added as they are created. This learning includes an example from grade 4 with ELAL and FLAL examples.
