About this Resource
In this session, we will look at what we might focus on for November and December. The theme for this session is to make math and the strategies visible to the students to support their learning and thinking. Specifically, we look at visual images and manipulatives that assist students in seeing factors, common factors, prime and composite numbers. We will look at ways to obtain the prime factorization of a number – 6N3.1/3.2. We will review 6N4, multiplication and division. Working on the order of operations with exponents included is a goal for these two months. Recorded October 25, 2023.
