About this Resource
In this Ecosystem Passport activity, Grade 6 students will learn the difference between biotic factors (living or once-living things) and abiotic factors (non-living things) through examples and a card sort activity. Students will then explore different ecosystems using Google Earth and videos to gather information and record their observations in their passport. Finally, the class will review their findings together to deepen their understanding of ecosystem components and interactions.
