Learn about this wonderful website that contains Woodland Cree People’s ways of knowing as shared by Wapastim, Jason Bigcharles. Within this website are stories, legends, videos of seasonal activities such as gathering medicines, hunting, trapping and more. There are general knowledge videos sharing traditional, subsistence, and art practices, as well as oral traditions. Planning supports for teachers are practical and include all curriculum for all core subjects, along with direct connections to the Cree language and content of the website. This session will focus on the new social studies curriculum.
