About this Resource
This sample unit plan integrates the organizing ideas of Matter and the Scientific Methods. This phenomenon based unit focuses on investigation to help students answer the question: “How does ice, which is a solid, changes to a liquid? And how does cream, which is a liquid, change to a solid?” Students not only learn the concepts of the various states of matter but use authentic science methods to build knowledge in this sample plan.
